## Synopsis

Sonic Prime (2022-2024) is an American animated action adventure series created by Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly and Steven T. Seagle for Netflix. Based on the Sega video game franchise, it follows Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Deven Mack) as he is thrown through shattered parallel dimensions after an explosive clash with Dr. Eggman (Brian Drummond). Sonic's engine is simple and urgent: he must track down and reconnect with his allies, Tails (Ashleigh Ball), Amy Rose (Shannon Chan-Kent) and Rouge the Bat (Kazumi Evans), while Eggman's schemes and warped counterparts stand in the way. Each episode lands him in a new reality where familiar friends appear as twisted alternate versions, so the chase is a sequence of bright, fast set pieces rather than a single long plot. Across three seasons and twenty-three episodes of about twenty-six minutes, the show keeps a breezy, kinetic energy with plenty of humor and heart. Its tone is cheerful and action-forward, with a playful sense of wonder about the many versions of its world. Fans of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Rick and Morty will find a similar appeal in the multiverse hopping, though this is far gentler and aimed at young viewers.
