## Synopsis

The Man with a Thousand Faces (2008) is an Iranian comedy series created by Mehran Modiri for IRIB TV3. Mehran Modiri plays Massoud Shastchi, a man who keeps landing in strange positions and situations, where he is repeatedly mistaken for other, usually famous, people. Each episode builds its comedy from these comic misunderstandings as he slips into one borrowed identity after another, and the premise frames the story around his arrest for impersonation, as he must explain himself to a judge. Pejman Bazeghi appears as Captain Shahin Ahmadi, one of the authority figures whose suspicion and confusion keep escalating the chaos around Massoud. Parviz Fallahipour as Dr. Tabibian Sr. and Siamak Ansari as Dr. Tabibian Jr. add further comic friction within the cast of recurring figures. The series runs for a single season of thirteen episodes, a light, episodic farce with brisk situational humor. Its tone is breezy and playful, with a deadpan edge to the absurdity. Fans of Catch Me If You Can and Mr. Bean will find resonance in its impersonation caper spirit and its escalating comic misunderstandings.
