## Synopsis

As If (2021-2025) is a Turkish dark comedy series created by Feyyaz Yiğit and Aziz Kedi for Exxen. Feyyaz Yiğit plays Yılmaz, one half of a pair of quarrelling friends, opposite Kıvanç Kılınç as İlkkan Yedinci, with Ahmet Kürşat Öçalan as Ersoy among the recurring supporting cast. The engine of the show is simple: the two friends keep blowing ordinary situations out of proportion, and every episode builds a small annoyance into an escalating disaster that leaves them and the viewer nearly at a breaking point. Its forty-minute episodes follow the same pattern across six seasons and sixty-eight episodes, with each season standing on its own rather than tracing one long plot. The setting is contemporary Istanbul life, rendered with the grime and routine of city streets, cramped apartments and everyday errands. The tone is absurd, sharp and bleakly funny, with a wry despair that makes misfortune feel both painful and hilarious. Its handling of combative male friendship recalls the chaotic bond of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, while its awkward, deadpan embarrassment echoes Curb Your Enthusiasm. Fans of those shows will find resonance in its willingness to let two flawed men make every bad day worse.
