## Synopsis

Daughter from Another Mother (2021-2022) is a Mexican comedy-drama series created by Carolina Rivera and Fernando Sariñana for Netflix. After two women learn that their babies were exchanged at birth, Ana (Ludwika Paleta) and Mariana (Paulina Goto) set out to build a shared, deliberately peculiar household around the children they are raising. The engine of the show is the daily negotiation of that arrangement: competing parenting instincts, the pressures of partners and relatives such as Juan Carlos (Martín Altomaro) and Pablo (Javier Ponce), and the awkward logistics of sharing a family that nobody planned. Each episode is built from small domestic clashes, comic misunderstandings and emotionally tender moments as the women test what kinship really means. The series runs for three seasons and twenty-seven episodes, shifting from the early chaos of the swap into a more settled and warm rhythm. Its tone is breezy and affectionate, with a steady undercurrent of sincerity about motherhood and loyalty. Viewers who enjoy the telenovela-inflected warmth of Ugly Betty or the chaotic family heart of Jane the Virgin will find a similar pleasure here, as a Latin American family comedy that treats an unusual premise with humor and care.
