## Synopsis

50M² (2021) is a Turkish crime thriller series created by Burak Aksak and produced for Netflix. Engin Öztürk plays Gölge, a henchman who betrays someone close to him and reinvents himself under a new identity in a small Istanbul neighborhood, seeking to uncover the truth about his own past. Aybüke Pusat appears as Dilara, with Cengiz Bozkurt as Muhtar, Tolga Tekin as Mesut and Tuğçe Karabacak as Özlem rounding out the principal cast, each tied into the neighborhood's web of loyalties and secrets. The engine of the story is a man trying to outrun a criminal past while the consequences of his betrayal close in around him, with every episode tightening the pressure on his disguise. Told across a single eight-episode season of roughly forty-nine minutes each, the show is a compact, self-contained limited series rather than an open-ended saga. Its tone is brooding and tense, with urban grit, claustrophobic streets and a moral weight that lingers beyond each cliffhanger. Fans of Money Heist, Mr. Robot and Kurtlar Vadisi will find resonance in its blend of criminal intrigue, identity games and the pull of the underworld. The result is a moody, character-driven thriller set against the everyday rhythms of Istanbul.
