## Synopsis

Vikings: Valhalla (2022-2024) is a Netflix historical action drama series created by Jeb Stuart, a spin-off sequel to the earlier Vikings. Set roughly a century after the original, the eight-episode seasons follow a new generation of legendary Norse heroes, including Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), as they seek their own destiny across 11th century Europe. Their engine is ambition: each hero wants land, reputation and a place in the sagas, while rival earls, kings and jarls stand in the way. Olaf Haraldson (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson) and Emma of Normandy (Laura Berlin) add court intrigue and shifting alliances to the raids and sea voyages. Across three seasons the story unfolds as one continuing serialized saga of three seasons and twenty-four episodes, mixing brutal shieldwall battles with dynastic maneuvering. The tone is gritty and sweeping, with a sense of fate and brotherhood under pressure, and a grim, bloody atmosphere. Fans of Vikings, The Last Kingdom and Game of Thrones will find resonance in its blend of Norse myth, power politics and violent medieval warfare.
