## Synopsis

Edificio Corona (2021) is a Chilean scripted soap comedy-drama created by Rodrigo Bastidas and Daniella Castagno and broadcast on Mega. Set in a Santiago apartment building during the COVID-19 confinement, the series follows Javiera (María Gracia Omegna) and Pablo Arancibia (Nicolás Oyarzún) as their attraction is tested by the cramped rules of lockdown life. Germán Manzano (Mario Horton), Ágata Cárdenas (Paola Volpato) and Sergio Correa (Francisco Melo) add rival loyalties, old grudges and quiet betrayals to the mix. The engine is simple: residents who would normally avoid one another must share hallways, elevators and daily routines, so every small disagreement over space, noise or favors becomes a neighborhood event. Each episode is a self-contained sequence of conflicts and reconciliations that gradually build into a wider web of romance and rivalry. As a single season of 120 episodes, it stays a contained, serialized portrait of a building under strain. The tone is warm, breezy and melodramatic, with a playful edge and an undercurrent of loneliness. Fans of Melrose Place, Parks and Recreation and Los exitosos Pérez will find resonance in its blend of soap intrigue and communal comedy.
