## Synopsis

Werewolf (1987-1988) is an American supernatural horror drama created by Frank Lupo for FOX. College student Eric Cord (John J. York) is transformed into a werewolf each night and sets out on a relentless quest to lift his curse by killing the apparent originator of his bloodline. Along the way he is shadowed by Alamo Joe Rogan (Lance LeGault), a wary figure who knows more about the curse than he admits, and he must keep his nightly transformations hidden from his friends and from Kelly Nichols (Michelle Johnson). The engine of the series is a hunt that unfolds in episodic chapters: Eric travels, tracks rumors of his ancestry, and runs from the people who discover what he is, so each installment is built around a new lead, a new confrontation and a new cost to his humanity. The single season of twenty-nine episodes plays as a moody, lonely tale told in a contemporary American landscape of motels, highways and dimly lit streets. Its tone is brooding and melancholic, with a pulpy edge of visceral monster violence and a constant undercurrent of dread. Fans of The Incredible Hulk and Forever Knight will find kinship in its tormented lone hero, its supernatural hunt and its late-night atmosphere of loneliness and hidden identity.
