## Synopsis

Nowhere Man (1995-1996) is a American science fiction and mystery television series created by Lawrence Hertzog for UPN. Bruce Greenwood plays documentary photographer Thomas Veil, a man whose whole existence seems to vanish in a single evening, leaving his wife Alyson Veil (Megan Gallagher) and the rest of his life rewritten around him. Each episode pushes him deeper into a global conspiracy as he runs from unseen pursuers while trying to recover proof of who he was and why he was erased. The engine is cat-and-mouse survival: he must keep moving, trust almost no one, and piece together clues from contacts who may be allies or traps. The single season of twenty-five episodes runs as one continuing paranoid chase rather than a case-of-the-week format, and it was canceled before its story could fully resolve. Set in contemporary 1990s America, the show plays in a mood of unease, claustrophobic dread, and quiet desperation, with a tense, psychological texture. Its premise recalls the fugitive chase of The Fugitive and the surreal paranoia of The Prisoner, and fans of The X-Files will find a similar appetite for hidden institutional power and shadowy mythology.
