## Synopsis

Mocro Maffia: Komtgoed (2021) is a Dutch crime drama miniseries created by Achmed Akkabi and Thijs Römer for Videoland. Following a single eight-episode season, it centres on fifteen-year-old Zakaria 'Komtgoed' Fallouny, played by Marouane Meftah, whose life spirals after a street fight pulls him into the judicial system. Juvenile detention and a new foster family pressure him from one side while the older crew of Ibrahim 'Ibo', played by Karym El Dawey, and the figures around Muis pull him toward the criminal underworld. Each short episode tracks how a boy with few options weighs survival, loyalty and the seductive shortcut of the streets. Its tone is gritty, tense and grounded, with a melancholic undertow about how quickly a young life can tilt. Set in a contemporary multicultural Dutch city, the series sits in the tradition of Dutch youth crime drama and will appeal to viewers who admire the street-level authenticity of Top Boy and Gangs of London. Its short runtime makes it a compact, intense watch.
