## Synopsis

The Fruit of Evolution (2021-2023) is a Japanese animated isekai comedy series created for TV Tokyo, adapted from a light novel. Its protagonist, Hiiragi Seiichi, voiced by Hiro Shimono, is a bullied high school student dismissed as a loser, until his entire school is suddenly transported into a video game-like world of swords and sorcery. After he accidentally eats the titular Fruit of Evolution, his life turns into an effortless climb to dominance. Kana Hanazawa voices Saria, Marina Inoue voices Artoria Gremm, and Tetsu Inada voices Gassle Kroot, rounding out a cast that orbits Seiichi's sudden rise. The series spans two seasons and twenty-four episodes, with each episode built around fantasy battles, romantic entanglements, and the comic friction of a classmate's newfound power. Its tone is breezy and self-indulgent, a wish fulfillment fantasy that plays its reversal of fortune for laughs and light adventure. Fans of Log Horizon, Overlord and Sword Art Online will find a familiar appetite for power fantasy and genre comedy.
