## Synopsis

Buscando a Frida (2021) is a Spanish-language American television drama created by Sandra Velasco for Telemundo. The story opens when Frida Pons (Victoria White) mysteriously disappears on the night of her father's birthday party, and the ensuing search throws her family into turmoil. Principal characters include Ingrid Teran (Ximena Martínez), Marcela Bribiesca (Ximena Herrera), Gabriela Pons (Grettell Valdéz) and Salvador Teran (Rubén Zamora), whose loyalties and private histories come under scrutiny as each relative becomes a suspect in the eyes of the others. The engine of the series is the gradual unearthing of hidden resentments, romantic betrayals and long-kept secrets, with each episode peeling back another layer of the household. Presented as a single 84-episode run of roughly fifty minutes each, it plays as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. The tone is emotionally heightened and intimate, mixing suspense with domestic melodrama in the manner of a telenovela. Fans of Big Little Lies, Mare of Easttown and La Reina del Sur will find resonance in its blend of family intrigue, missing-person suspense and sudden confrontations behind closed doors.
