## Synopsis

7 vidas (1999-2006) is a Spanish comedy series broadcast on Telecinco, a national-television sitcom built around a circle of friends living in Madrid. The ensemble is anchored by Carlota Pérez (Blanca Portillo), Soledad Huete "Sole" (Amparo Baró) and Laura Arteagabeitia (Paz Vega), with David Pérez (Toni Cantó) and Paco Jimeno (Javier Cámara) among the principal men in the group. Its engine is the everyday friction of adult friendship, romance and work in the city, with each run of episodes built from ordinary entanglements rather than a single overarching plot. Across fifteen seasons and more than two hundred episodes, the show keeps a steady, warm and conversational register, playful and often bawdy, with the familiar comfort of a long-running group comedy. Its shape is serialized in its character arcs but episodic in its stories, so viewers can dip in at almost any point. Set in contemporary Madrid, it draws on the texture of Spanish city life, late-night bars, shared apartments and recurring romantic tangles. Fans of Friends, Sex and the City and Cheers will find resonance in its ensemble warmth, its long run and its focus on friends who keep coming back to one another.
