## Synopsis

You Are My Hero (2021) is a Chinese television romance drama adapted from a novel, created for iQiyi and Tencent Video. Ma Sichun plays Mi Ka, a new resident at a hospital whose path crosses with special ops agent Xing Kelei, played by Bai Jingting, during an emergency rescue training organized by the SWAT team. Wang Yang, Jiang Peiyao and Chen Hao fill out the principal circle of colleagues and friends whose work keeps tangling with the central pair. The engine of the series is a slow-building attraction between two people whose jobs demand composure under pressure, and the obstacles are the hard shifts, the chaos of emergency response and the professional distance each of them keeps. Each stretch of the single season of forty episodes moves between hospital wards and tactical training grounds, following the medical and military rhythms that shape their days. The story is told as one continuing run rather than standalone cases, so the romance and the crises build together. Set in contemporary China, the story carries a tender, earnest register, with first love framed by the urgency of rescue work. Fans of Grey's Anatomy and Chicago Fire will find resonance in its blend of medical and emergency work with romantic longing, and viewers who enjoy Chinese romance dramas will recognise its familiar warmth.
