## Synopsis

Lovely Writer (2021) is a Thai BL romantic comedy series created by Bundit Sintanaparadee for Channel 3, produced by Dee Hup House. Its single season runs twelve episodes of about sixty-five minutes each. Successful boys love novelist Gene (Poompat Iam-samang) meets Nubsib (Noppakao Dechaphatthanakun), a deceptive actor auditioning for the lead role in the television drama adaptation of Gene's own book. The engine of the story is the friction between a writer who wants control over his story and an actor who will bend the truth to win a part, so every episode produces a fresh misunderstanding. Supporting characters including Aoey (Sirikorn Kananurak) and Tum (Prarunyu Sooksamran) add jealousy, friendship, and family pressure around the production. The tone is playful and breezy, with a fourth wall that keeps winking at fan culture and the absurdities of adaptation, while still allowing tender moments about unrequited feelings and coming out. Set in contemporary Bangkok, the series sits within the Thai BL tradition of light romantic comedy. Fans of Ugly Betty and Our Skyscraper will find resonance in its warm, self-aware romance and its comedy of mistaken identity and ambition.
