## Synopsis

Last Chance U: Basketball (2021-2022) is an American sports documentary docuseries made for Netflix. Coach John Mosley (John Mosley) leads his East Los Angeles basketball program alongside assistant coaches Kenneth Hunter (Kenneth Hunter) and Rob Robinson (Rob Robinson), and the young men in their charge are the real subjects of the story. Each episode follows the daily grind of practices, games, and hard conversations as the players pursue the chance to earn a place at a major college program, while the coaching staff's strong convictions shape every demand they place on them. The engine of the series is the tension between a second chance and the pressure to prove it, carried out on the court and off it in the lives of players with few other routes out. Shot in an observational style across two seasons of eight episodes each, the show plays as one continuing sports narrative rather than a set of standalone cases. Its mood is intense, candid, and at times emotionally raw, with moments of hope and frustration. Fans of Last Chance U, Hard Knocks, and Friday Night Lights will find the same blend of athletic ambition, coaching intensity, and real human stakes. Set in present-day East Los Angeles, it offers an unvarnished look at amateur basketball and the young people chasing a future through it.
