## Synopsis

DOTA: Dragon's Blood (2021-2022) is an American adult animated fantasy series created by Ashley Miller for Netflix, adapted from the Dota video game universe. Across three seasons of eight episodes each, a Dragon Knight is drawn into events far larger than he could have imagined after encounters with a dragon and a princess pursuing her own mission. Voice performances by Tony Todd as Slyrak, Lara Pulver as Mirana and Sherzi, Yuri Lowenthal as Davion and Cadoc, and Troy Baker as Invoker give the characters weight. The engine is quest-driven: the knight and his companions chase their goals through rival factions, ancient dragon lore and shifting alliances, with each episode moving a larger conflict forward. Its shape is a serialized, continuous story rather than standalone adventures. The setting is an invented elven fantasy world with a mythic, epic feel. The tone is heroic and bloody, with dramatic battles, fragmented editing and a grand atmosphere. Fans of Castlevania and Blood of Zeus will find kinship in its adult animated action and dark mythology.
