## Synopsis

Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (2021-2022) is an American documentary series created for CNN, a food-and-travel docuseries following host Stanley Tucci as he journeys across Italy to discover its regional cuisines. Tucci, an actor with a long-standing love of Italian food, moves from town to town meeting cooks, chefs, and local families, including chef Massimo Bottura and Francesca F. Fellini, who guide him through markets, kitchens, and dining tables. The engine of each episode is simple and appetite-driven: he samples a region's signature dishes, asks where they come from, and traces the history and everyday rituals behind them. Across two seasons and fourteen episodes, the show gives a warm, curious, and sensual portrait of Italy as seen through its food. Its mood is cozy, wistful, and joyful, with lingering shots of landscapes, produce, and shared meals. Viewers who enjoy culinary travel will find it kin to Parts Unknown, Chef's Table, and Somebody Feed Phil, all shows where a host's appetite becomes a doorway into local life. The format is an episodic, case-free wander through regions rather than a continuing plot, making it easy to dip into one town at a time.
