## Synopsis

In the Land of Leadale (2022) is a Japanese isekai animated series produced by MAHO FILM and KADOKAWA for TOKYO MX, adapted from a light novel. Keina Kagami, confined to life support after a terrible accident, finds her only freedom inside the VRMMORPG Leadale. When she dies and wakes in that game world two hundred years in the future, she becomes the half-elf Cayna, carrying lost skills and overpowered statuses. Voiced by Eri Yukimura, Cayna wanders the fantasy landscape and grows close to its inhabitants, among them the characters she once designed during character creation, including Skargo voiced by Daisuke Ono and Kartatz voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. The engine of the series is gentle exploration: Cayna meets new people, unlocks forgotten abilities, and settles into a life that is both a second chance and a playful revisit of an online world. Episodes unfold at an easy pace in a single twelve-episode season, with a whimsical, comforting register and a warm sense of wonder. Fans of Sword Art Online, Overlord and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will find resonance in its virtual-world premise and light-hearted power fantasy.
