## Synopsis

Lolita Lobosco (2021-2024) is an Italian national-television crime drama series created by Luca Miniero for Rai 1. Luisa Ranieri plays Deputy Chief Lolita Lobosco, who returns to her hometown of Bari in southern Italy to direct a squad of male officers in a police station where she must earn respect on every case. Giovanni Ludeno plays Antonio Forte, one of the men on her team, and Lunetta Savino appears as Nunzia, adding warmth and friction to the investigations. Each episode is built around a local crime that Lolita pursues through the streets, markets and family kitchens of Bari, while her personal life and her refusal to bend to the prejudices of colleagues and suspects give the series its spine. The show runs across three seasons and fourteen long episodes, each running around one hundred and ten minutes, a form closer to a television film than a standard weekly procedural. Its tone is sun-warmed and wry, balancing sharp moments of violence and menace with humor and a stubborn optimism about its heroine. Fans of Montalbano, Vera and Happy Valley will find resonance in its blend of a determined detective, a distinct regional landscape and crime investigations driven by character.
