## Synopsis

Sabikui Bisco (2022-present) is a Japanese animated post-apocalyptic adventure series produced for TOKYO MX and BS11, adapted from a light novel and carrying the energy of a shonen anime. Bisco Akaboshi, a wanted criminal and skilled archer voiced by Ryota Suzuki, is the engine of the story: he hunts the legendary Sabikui mushroom, said to devour all rust, in a country where dust and decay have swallowed the land. Travelling beside him are Miro Nekoyanagi (Natsuki Hanae), Pawoo Nekoyanagi (Reina Kondo) and a giant crab companion, and the journey is paced around ambushes, scavenged ruins and tense encounters with hostile factions. Each episode is a stretch of road that builds toward a larger goal, so the show plays as one continuing quest rather than standalone adventures. The tone mixes brisk combat with warm, bickering camaraderie and light comedy, with a bromance-driven bond at its heart. Fans of Attack on Titan, Made in Abyss and Fist of the North Star will find resonance in its bleak wasteland atmosphere and its hopeful, found-family sensibility. Its thirteen episodes across two seasons offer an accessible, action-forward anime for viewers who want an adventure with heart.
