## Synopsis

The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody (2022) is a Japanese seinen isekai anime produced by SILVER LINK. and aired on AT-X. Its single 12-episode season follows Demon Lord Varvatos, a once all-powerful ruler who, lonely after losing his friends during his rise to power, casts a reincarnation spell to live as an ordinary person. Reborn thousands of years later as the village boy Ard (voiced by Toshinari Fukamachi), he keeps his ancient memories while the world has forgotten much of what he lost, and his old strength threatens the normal life he wanted. Ireena Litz de Olhyde (Wakana Maruoka) and Ginny Fin De Salvan (Hina Youmiya) are among the principal figures drawn into his orbit. The series runs on a steady rhythm of magic-school episodes, comic misunderstandings, and small-scale fights in which Ard's immense power gets in the way of his modest ambitions. The tone is playful and lightly absurd, with a wistful undertone about loneliness and second chances. Its fantasy world is an invented realm rather than a real place. Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Re:Zero and The Devil Is a Part-Timer! will find similar appeal in its reincarnation premise and comedic power fantasy.
