Tanguy
Tanguy is a deceptively gentle comedy charting the escalating, playfully absurd battle of wills between a stubbornly independent 28-year-old and his exasperated parents who long to see him launch into adulthood. Rather than a typical coming-of-age story, the film focuses on the comedic friction of a static life – Tanguy’s contented existence within the family home isn't rooted in immaturity, but a deliberate rejection of societal expectations. The narrative isn’t about prompting him *to* change, but about his parents' increasingly elaborate schemes to force a change he actively resists, resulting in a series of hilariously inconvenient "nudges" toward independence. This creates a uniquely warm and relatable portrayal of family dynamics, less about angst and more about affectionate exasperation and the slow acceptance of unconventional choices.
