What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Kate Moseley and Doug Dorsey clash as a temperamental figure skater and hockey player before becoming a competitive pair and romantic couple.
The pair endure demanding skating practice while preparing for nationals and the Olympics, with their final show carrying both athletic and romantic stakes.
Figure-skating programs, partner lifts, and Olympic competition provide the film's defining visual set pieces.
Kate's willfulness and Doug's contrasting hockey background repeatedly challenge their ability to trust and coordinate on the ice.
