What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Milton, Sandy, and Joyce develop an emotionally supportive bond through their shared encounter with Jules.
Milton's memory loss and early Alzheimer's symptoms shape his vulnerability while the film preserves his agency and humanity.
Milton's quiet routine is overturned when a UFO crashes into his backyard and its passenger enters his life.
The alien encounter unfolds in Milton's backyard and small-town surroundings rather than a grand space-opera environment.
