What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film expands the G.I. Joe world with Cobra-La, Golobulus, the rawhides, and Slaughter's Marauders while being explicitly based on a toy line.
The Joes' conventional battle against Cobra is transformed by the introduction of the Cobra-La race, mutation, and space spores.
After Duke is injured and the main force is immobilized, the new rawhides and Slaughter's Marauders must save the world.
Cobra-La provides a hidden fantastical civilization and its leader Golobulus as Cobra's new ally.
