What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Fong Sai Yuk's battles center on agile stunt work and highly stylized movement associated with Hong Kong action cinema.
Sai Yuk must negotiate his moral conflict while participating in the Red Flower brotherhood's anti-Manchu cause.
The struggle to restore the Ming dynasty is interwoven with Sai Yuk's difficult love life and two presumptive wives.
The Cantonese hero, secret brotherhood, imperial rebellion, and heightened action place the film within popular wuxia traditions.
