What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Nick and Shawn abandon football camp and infiltrate cheerleading camp, creating the film's central comic reversal.
The protagonists begin with a sex-focused scheme, but one develops genuine feelings for Carly and becomes invested in the squad.
The cheerleading camp and its competition provide the ensemble setting and forward momentum.
The premise, flirtation scheme, dorky camp characters, and absurd situations emphasize broad, self-aware farce.
