What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The continuation follows several returning characters and ongoing settlement conflicts across the American West.
Hayes Ellison, Frances Kittredge, Trent Gephart, Roland Bailey, Marigold, and Sgt. Major Riordan anchor distinct but connected storylines.
The film is explicitly associated with the post-Civil War period and the unsettled expansion of western settlements.
Its 190-minute runtime, historical subject, and western settlement narrative support an unusually broad epic presentation.
