What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ray's seemingly blissful marriage to Lena deteriorates as strange incidents expose how little he knows about her.
Lena's sensual surface and shifting background place her within femme fatale conventions while suggesting continuous self-invention.
The critical synopsis emphasizes multiple stages of deception and Ray and Lena's partial complicity in the romantic cat-and-mouse game.
The film transforms Ray's desire for stability, marriage, and family into an ambiguously unsettling thriller environment.
