What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Maddy recalls her senior year and the formation and unraveling of the girls' friendship.
The five teenagers bond after confronting a sexually harassing teacher and develop a collective identity.
The girls' initial act of resistance expands into increasingly uncontrolled behavior involving fights, hostages, and criminal consequences.
The friendship among Maddy, Legs, Rita, Goldie, and Violet is both protective and destabilizing.
