What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Bobo, Klara, and Hedvig create an all-girl punk band and use music to reject social expectations.
The girls navigate friendship, insecurity, family tensions, and first emotional upheavals alongside their music.
The narrative is explicitly set in early-1980s Stockholm and draws on Swedish punk bands such as KSMB and Ebba Grön.
The protagonists acquire instruments for the first time and develop their band through raw, inexperienced playing.
