What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Leprechaun stalks space marines aboard a ship while the film borrows recognizable alien-invasion conventions.
The film combines a magical killer, space marines, mad-scientist experiments, and parody elements in an intentionally heightened register.
After being blown up, the Leprechaun is reborn through one of the marines and resumes his rampage aboard the ship.
Dr. Mittenhand is part machine, seeks restoration through experiments, and is transformed into a grotesque monster.
