What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Pantaleon applies military efficiency, reports, schedules, and chain-of-command discipline to an officially secret prostitution service.
Pantaleon's dedication to organizing the visitors' unit increasingly consumes his time, identity, and marriage.
The army formally creates and manages a service of visitors for soldiers while attempting to conceal it from the public.
Pantaleon's grave, obedient manner contrasts with the inherently scandalous assignment and its increasingly elaborate administration.
