What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Derek and Clif record their international trip, and the travel material gradually becomes evidence of the affliction and its consequences.
One friend's mysterious affliction progressively overtakes his body and identity, with blood hunger and physical deterioration driving the plot.
The friends' trip across foreign European locations turns from sightseeing into a desperate search for the affliction's source.
The film juxtaposes polished travel footage and European scenery with bloody attacks, bodily horror, and documentary-like immediacy.
