What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
John places the discovered scarecrow in his cornfield and soon receives miraculous agricultural and financial relief alongside deadly consequences.
Crop failure, a broken irrigation pump, mortgage trouble, and lack of credit drive John toward accepting the scarecrow.
The Rollins family’s home and cornfield become increasingly unsafe as the scarecrow’s influence threatens their relationships and survival.
The scarecrow revives the farm and removes obstacles, but its apparent benefits are linked to death and possession.
