What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers

Jimmy's descent into debauchery and murder is framed as an absurd consequence of the supposed marijuana menace.
The Harper Affair is told through recurring musical numbers, including the Emmy-recognized song Mary Jane/Mary Lane.
The high-school setting, lecturer-led warnings, Uncle Sam imagery, and references to Franklin Delano Roosevelt mimic propagandistic drug education traditions.
