What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Joe and Hubbs pursue their nighttime mission through a hazy, irreverent comic sensibility associated with stoner cinema.
The plot follows Joe and Hubbs as they leave Torrance to find fine chicks and gradually move toward the radical pair near the Frankie Avalon place.
Joe and Hubbs operate as a buddy pair whose shared outing is shaped by disagreements over Tack and the women they hope to meet.
The Blue Torpedo, aimless driving around Torrance, and the Frankie Avalon place define the characters' social world and ritual of teenage mobility.
