What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Nick, Dale, and Kurt devise a kidnapping and ransom plan after losing control of their business, but their desperation repeatedly produces bungled criminal behavior.
The returning trio faces a larger business crisis and a more elaborate criminal misadventure, explicitly building on their previous workplace grievances.
The protagonists launch a company independently, only to be outplayed by a slick investor who takes control and leaves them without legal recourse.
Nick, Kurt, and Dale pursue the same desperate objective despite differing levels of competence, judgment, and sexual anxiety.
