What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film combines a caveman setting with a murder investigation and tribal conflict for comic effect.
The tribes, chiefs, investigators, and healer are portrayed through broad imbecility and escalating absurdity.
The Dirty Hairs and Clean Hairs have fought for centuries over shampoo and embody a ridiculous social division.
The 35,000 BC setting is used as a playful stage for shampoo culture, detective conventions, and contemporary-style parody.
