What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Noni's pop-star image and chart pressure conflict with her emotional needs and desire to find her true voice.
The film repeatedly juxtaposes Noni's marketable stage persona with her cracking mental and emotional state.
Noni and Kaz are pressured by the music business, family expectations, and political aspirations while trying to define their own paths.
