What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Sybok leads the captured Enterprise toward the center of the galaxy in search of the Supreme Being.
Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and the Enterprise crew rely on long-standing relationships and comic shorthand throughout the mission.
The mission begins on the remote Planet of Galactic Peace and expands into a lawless cosmic search involving a renegade Vulcan and pursuing Klingons.
The film combines Star Trek's philosophical tradition with broad comedy, hostage action, and a literal encounter with a claimed supreme being.
