What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Jimmy Monroe and Paul Hodges are suspended partners whose jealousy, financial stress, and clashing personalities drive the comedy.
Jimmy's rare baseball card is sold to fund his daughter's wedding, then stolen during a store burglary and becomes the object the detectives pursue.
The detectives investigate thieves while Jimmy struggles with wedding expenses and Paul suspects his wife is having an affair.
The film presents mismatched New York detectives, criminal pursuit, police suspension, and comic banter within the familiar buddy-cop tradition.
