What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Jeff's breakdown, the trucker's denial, and the apparent complicity of local figures transform a routine cross-country trip into a conspiracy of distrust.
Jeff is a wealthy traveler forced to operate without institutional support while criminals exploit his isolation and desperation.
The remote desert highway, diner, barn, and long stretches of road leave Jeff exposed and make distance itself part of the danger.
The missing-person mystery develops into ransom demands, pursuit, truck-based action, and high-risk vehicular confrontation.
