May contain story progression spoilers
Veronika survives her suicide attempt and, after being told she has limited time left, begins pursuing relationships and emotions more openly.
The hospital residents are portrayed as people considered insane largely because they do not conform to society's rules.
The mental hospital becomes the central environment where Veronika encounters patients and caregivers who reshape her understanding of life.
