What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
James Reece is a cautious, chess-playing CIA aspirant forced to work alongside Charlie Wax, an unruly and highly experienced operative.
The Paris missions move through apartments, streets, clubs, and ethnic enclaves with frequent gun battles, killings, and explosions.
Reece begins by seeking advancement within the CIA but must reassess his trust as Wax’s opaque mission unfolds and reaches his personal life.
Charlie Wax is foul-mouthed, eccentric, bald, bearded, and theatrically aggressive, giving the spy thriller a comic action register.
