What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The four London women rent an Italian castle specifically to escape dreary domestic circumstances, with the Riviera becoming a catalyst for renewal.
Lottie, Rose, Caroline, and Mrs Fisher form the central social and emotional network, with female companionship shaping the holiday’s civilizing effect.
The gorgeously filmed Italian Riviera and castle sharply contrast with the beleaguered women’s dreary London lives.
The holiday brings together women and men with differing temperaments and backgrounds, allowing guarded personalities to soften through communal life.
