What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Granny Ruth shelters Duane, Belial, and a mansion full of mutants, who unite against exploitative reporters.
Reporters pursue the exposed brothers and become the target of the mutants' retaliatory plan.
The mansion's bizarre inhabitants and body-horror designs are framed as both disturbing and playful.
The hideously deformed mutants and basket-dwelling Belial drive the film's visibly handmade horror aesthetic.
