What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
After losing his family, Vuk is raised and trained by his experienced uncle Karak to become a cunning forest fox.
Vuk's forest world is disrupted by hunters, traps, guns, dogs, and human control of animal life.
The plot frames hunters as the feared bare-skins and follows fox communities, relationships, and survival from their perspective.
The film's animated fox characters and forest setting support both playful behavior and emotionally serious encounters with hunting.
