What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Old Hatice's Alzheimer's-related return to her former home connects her present decline with scenes of her rise as a singer.
Hatice's ascent through pop music and fortune is directly tied to the ruined life and resentment of her older sister Hanife.
The central present-day conflict concerns Hanife holding Hatice responsible for the collapse of her own life.
Alzheimer's disease shapes Hatice's return home and the recollection of her earlier days of fame.
